Forum Title: Do you ever use roofing subcontractors?
I heard this talked about at work today. The first thing I thought about was outsourcing roofers. Any of you guys ever do this?

This actually isn't an awful way to get things started... It is a little tough to get enough business when you first start to keep a crew busy full time. If you can find a crew that you can subcontract to, you can have them do your occasional roof installs, then once you are busy enough, you either bring them on full time, or you get your own crew. You can use them when you are overloaded with work too. You can also find specialty crew, so if you are really good at doing asphalt and you get a metal roof, you just find a metal sub. That makes it easier to do any roof and not have to turn down business.

I like reading your posts. You know what you‚re talking about. I‚ve thought about starting up my own roofing business. I would if I had as much knowledge as you about it.

Use every tool that you possibly can to succeed. Even if means contracting out your work. This is a business and you‚ve got to always stay competitive.
